BABY PHAT HIRES NEW VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING & PR
New York, NY (June 19, 2006) – EF|IMD International, the executive search division of Epsen Fuller Group, announced the recent placement of Paula Rosado to the position of vice president, marketing & public relations for Baby Phat at Phat Fashions, a division of Kellwood Company (NYSE: KWD).
Baby Phat by Kimora Lee Simmons has positioned itself in the world of fashion as the premiere female hip-hop brand. Sassy, sexy, and stylish, Baby Phat first hit the scene as a publicity tool when tiny tees with the clever name Baby Phat were produced to electrify a Phat Farm runway show. When celebrities, supermodels and tastemakers began wearing the baby tees, a phenomenon grew, and a decision was made to launch an entire Baby Phat sportswear collection. A lifestyle brand was born.
As a member of the senior management team, and working closely with executive vice president and creative director, Kimora Lee Simmons, and Phat Fashions president, Bernt Ullmann, Ms. Rosado will develop, refine and deliver marketing and communications strategies to drive the continued growth of the brand.
Most recently Ms. Rosado was the vice president, public relations for Tommy HilfigerU.S.A. responsible for the global public relations and marketing strategies for the Women’s, Men’s, RTW (H Hilfiger, Crest and Flag collections,) Junior’s, Fragrances, Children’s, Home collection as well as fifteen accessory licensees.
