AESC HOSTS ‘EXECUTIVE TALENT 2020
AESC President Speaks on State of Executive Search
New York, NY (April 6, 2016) – Epsen Fuller Group, a Top-20 executive search and leadership consulting firm, together with other leading executive search firms, participated in the AESC’s (Association of Executive Search Consultants) Global Conference entitled ‘Executive Talent 2020’ at the Time Warner Center in New York City. The AESC annual global conference focused on the challenges faced by executive search consultants, and the clients they serve, in shaping the talent agenda and succeeding in a very tight market for best-in-class leadership as we approach a new decade.
AESC Executive Talent 2020 is a multi-year initiative, focusing on V-Suite and Board level talent management, governance and succession planning, executive compensation, CEO insights, and developing deeper client relationships. This year’s presentations and panels raised awareness and provided a welcoming forum for participant dialogue on these issues and many others.
Most notable among the featured speakers was Bill Schaninger, Director at McKinsey & Company, an expert in the role of culture, values, and leadership in improving business outcomes, who spoke in depth on the challenges of leading, and choosing leaders for, tomorrow’s organizations and shared insights on how to create world-class talent systems and winning workforce dynamics to meet tomorrow’s demands.
Karen Greenbaum, AESC President & CEO, presented AESC’s 2016 State of the Profession report, Executive Talent 2020: What’s Next for The Profession. The report included insights into individual markets around the world and explored the changing needs of clients of executive search and leadership consulting services worldwide.
Other speakers included Alec Ross, former Senior Advisor for Technology and Innovation at the US State Department, and author of the widely acclaimed book, The Industries of the Future and Susie Gharib, Senior Special Correspondent for Fortune magazine and contributor on PBS-TV’s Nightly Business Report.
Thomas J. Fuller, Board Director and Americas Council Treasurer, recognizes the increasing demand placed on the board members to stay current and proactively confront changing nature of talent management. “The AESC’s insights at Executive Talent 2020 were highly reflective of what we are finding while working with our own clients at Epsen Fuller Group. Companies are facing a multitude of talent challenges, including effective succession planning, the need to proactively diversify their leadership and, of course, competition for top talent.” observed Mr. Fuller.
