Tom Fuller Honored with AESC’s Eleanor Raynolds Award
New York, NY (April 04, 2017) – Thomas J. Fuller, CEO & Managing Partner of Epsen Fuller Group, was recently honored by the global industry association, Association for Executive Search & Leadership Consultants (AESC), with the Eleanor Raynolds Award, recognizing him for his long-standing excellence in executive search combined with a strong commitment to the community and volunteerism for charitable organizations.
The AESC is the voice of excellence for the executive search and leadership consulting profession worldwide, whose seal represents the highest standards in quality and integrity. The awards presentation was a part of the AESC 2017 Global Conference, attracting approximately 200 executive search and leadership consulting professionals who gathered at the Time Warner Center – 10 on the Park in New York City for a two-day event. The theme for this year’s event was “Elevate 2017: New Heights – New Peaks” with dynamic presentations and discussions that addressed three key topics affecting the sustainability of a talent advantage: Globalization, Technology, and Diversity.
In presenting the award to Mr. Fuller, Rick Cannellos, Senior Partner and Financial Office Practice Leader at Epsen Fuller Group, noted, “Tom certainly epitomizes excellence in executive search. He is recognized by his team, clients and candidates as an innovator in the world of search and is in his element when solving problems and delivering solutions, to enable individuals and their teams to maximize their potential.”
Founder of Epsen Fuller Group and serving as its Managing Partner since 1997, he is a consultant, facilitator, advisor and business leader, assisting organizations, and the people within them, to reach their goals. An NACD Certified Board Governance Fellow, Mr. Fuller serves as an Independent Director and Chair of the Compensation Committee for Tingley Corporation, a leader in the PP&E industry. He has served as a Board Director of the AESC, and continues his service as America’s Council Treasurer. He is a Board Director of the NACD NJ Chapter, and former Board Director of IMD International Search Group.
Mr. Fuller is also active in numerous community and charitable organizations. For the past 15 years, he has cycled 200 miles each year in the Pan Mass Challenge, an event which has raised over $500 million for cancer research, all of which goes directly to the researchers, doctors, and patient care at Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
He has conducted many pro-bono searches over the years, including one recently for the AESC, and most recently for the New York City Rescue Mission where he is also an advisor to the CEO and leadership team. His care and concern for those executives searching for career direction is evidenced by his delivering numerous Career Directions Workshops, dedicated to teaching the skills necessary for men and women to successfully negotiate career transitions.
He is on the leadership team of the Manhattan chapter of the New Canaan Society, a national organization of some 7,000 Christian men with 60+ chapters across the country. He also is an advisor to the New York University chapter of Intervarsity, an inter-denominational, Christian campus ministry founded in 1941, working with students and faculty on U.S. college and university campuses.
Karen Greenbaum, AESC President & CEO, said: “We are honored to recognize Mr. Fuller’s exceptional achievements at our 2017 Global Conference. Through his commitment to standards of excellence within the profession and the community at large, Tom is an outstanding example of how AESC members both serve client organizations worldwide as trusted advisors as well as give back to their communities.”
