General Mills CEO appointment leads this month’s executive moves
Food production giant General Mills has a new CEO. Jeffrey Harmening will take on the rule effective June 1, and has also joined the board of directors. The current CEO and chairman, Ken Powell, is in the process of retiring and will hold the chairman role until his departure is official.
Land O’Lakes has appointed a new chief financial officer and senior vice president in Bill Pieper, stepping in for Dan Knutson, who was CFO for 17 years. The Board of Directors for fashion brand Chico’s has nominated former Sabre Corporation Executive Vice President Deborah Kerr who will be up for election at the company’s June board meeting.
Online entrepreneurial marketplace Etsy has appointed Josh Silverman its new CEO. Silverman was leading consumer products and services at American Express, but has familiarity with Etsy, having served on its board since November. Wireless-tech company Siklu has appointed Eyal Assa, a 20-year telecom veteran, to be its new CEO. SanDisk co-founder Sanjay Mehrotra has a new role, taking over as president and CEO of Micron.
In pharma and life sciences, Mylan has added Sjoerd Vollebregt to its board of directors, while announcing three retiring members. UroGen Pharma also has a new board member – Kate Falberg, who will serve as the chair of the audit committee. Brainlab AG appointed Jan Merker its new chief operating officer.
