Uber’s CEO decision headlines recent executive moves
After a search carried out under intense public pressure, ride-sharing startup Uber has offered Dara Khosrowshahi its CEO position. He previously served in the chief executive role at Expedia, joining that company in 2005. Elsewhere in the high-tech sector, CloudCommerce, Inc. has added Brad Pascale to its board of directors. Conversica has chosen Sid J. Reddy to join its ranks as its chief scientist, intending to grow its artificial intelligence platform.
In the retail, service and consumer goods world, rising startup Boosted, maker of a mechanized skateboard, has picked Jeff Russakow as its new CEO. Dunkin’ Brands has selected a new chief marketing officer to join its Dunkin’ Donuts C-suite: Tony Weisman comes from digital agency network DigitasLBi. Multiple-brand-owning frozen food company Nomad Foods has added Mohamed Elsarky for its board of directors.
In the life sciences and pharmaceuticals world, Kane Biotech has appointed 25-year financial veteran Ray Dupuis as its new chief financial officer. Lawrence M. Alleva has joined the board of directors at biopharmaceutical company Mersana Therapeutics, Inc. OncoSec, a company using DNA-based immunotherapies to target cancers, has selected Annalisa Jenkins, CEO of Dimension Therapeutics, IN.c as the newest member of its board of directors.
