Latest board and executive appointments
Canada Goose, one of the marquee names in winter apparel, has added a new board member. Jodi Butts brings experience from several different fields, having served in executive, legal and entrepreneurial roles. Food service franchise Cinnaroll Bakeries recently selected Brad Turner to serve as its new CEO. He most recently directed sales strategy and distribution at WestJet. Hyundai Motor America, the local retail arm of the automaker, has appointed 30-year industry veteran Brian Smith its next chief operating officer.
In the technology sector, Alexander Gounares, former chief technology officer with Microsoft, has joined the Arxan Technologies board of directors. Graphics and visualization provider AMD has chosen Mark Durcan as its latest director. Durcan is the retired CEO of Micron and still advises that company. Flir Systems has picked Carol P. Lowe to serve as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Lowe has served in a CFO and senior vice president role at Sealed Air Corporation since 2012.
In the life sciences industry, Pulse Biosciences recently announced a board transition. With four members of the board retiring, new directors Ken Clark, Dr. Thomas Fogarty and Manmeet S. Soni have joined. Flex Pharma has selected Dr. Roger Tung, co-founder, president and CEO of Concert Pharmaceuticals, as its newest board member. At VBI Vaccines, Ran Nussbaum has won election to the board of directors, deepening its relationship with venture capital firm The Pontifax Group.
